BETHLEHEM ELEMENTARY TEACHERS + COMMUNITY
3:30-5:30pm Friday, December 8th in the Greenlaws’ living room: Learn the art of landscape embroidery and make a felt flag!
We’ll start with the basics of embroidery, from choosing colors to threading your needle and tying your knots, then move into how to depict light and topography with embroidery thread. You’re welcome to choose some landscapes that are special to you in advance and bring images on your phone or printed out, or you’re welcome to use one of the inspiration images I’ll provide.
The workshop will be super hands-on, and you’ll leave with a flag — or with most of a flag and clear instructions on how to finish it, depending on how detailed you choose to make your design. The end time is a suggestion and we can keep stitching longer if folks are motivated! These make wonderful holiday gifts.
Bethlehem Elementary teachers and community are welcome to invite others, but this is not an open invite to the public. Once you’re signed up, you’ll get an email confirmation with the home address where this workshop will take place.
So excited to share this art form with you all!
